Getting audience for your short film is always a tough task but let's crack how it works and why many time we fail as I created which happened with me multiple times.
There are always two ways of making.

1. The story which we want to tell.
2. Story which people wants to watch.

Finding a thin line between both is always a better idea but most of us get confused while jumping between both boats. 

So while making a short film we have to choose one path. In recent past we made two short short films. First one is Abhi Babua Zinda Hai (Short Film) this story based on controversy of movie Padmavat.
Second one is Sonu Aur Dolly Ki Rahasyamayi Maut (Short Film) , it is a experimental film.
Number of views are clearly visible on both the short films.
Pro Tip:- Don't test the IQ level of your audience by making your story complicated. Always remember, we are here to entertain people, not to test their taste.
